Anima Pacha Drums is Ilona Dovey's heart led craft in the Scottish Highlands, where each handmade shamanic drum, ceremony and gathering is made with intention, love and reverence for the Earth. Purchases and bookings stay on her own website.
Handmade shamanic drums
Ilona has been creating shamanic drums for nearly eight years. She works with deer and water buffalo hides, many of them sourced in the UK, and approaches every drum with respect for the spirit of the animal. Ready made drums and personalised commissions are available through her shop, and she notes she does not currently sell or ship to the United States because of tariffs.
Drum birthing workshops
In her drum birthing workshops, people make their own shamanic drum in sacred space at her home in the Highlands, a short drive from Loch Ness. She also hosts drum birthing workshops for retreats, events and gatherings across Scotland, so retreat hosts can bring that experience into their programmes.
Circles, sound and giving back
Alongside the drums, Ilona holds shamanic drumming circles and group sound baths in the Highlands and beyond, gentle gatherings to reconnect with yourself through rhythm and sound. Since beginning the business in 2018 she has partnered with Trees for Life on a dedicated Tree Grove, with a portion of her monthly income going toward planting trees in the Scottish Highlands.
