Founded by Tara Averill, it welcomes facilitators looking for a sacred space to host their own retreats, and guests who want a personalized private retreat of their own.

Whether you are a seasoned facilitator or dreaming of leading your first retreat, Nemetona offers an intimate, fully supported setting between the jungle and the Caribbean Sea, with cozy glamping, nourishing meals and space for ceremony, practice and connection. The team supports you from planning to holding space, so you can focus on guiding your group.
- The Kuan Yin Temple. Room for up to 20 yoga mats, for meditation, ceremonies and group practice.
- Glamping for your group. Ten bell tents and a glamping dome.
- Gathering spaces. The Ohana House common area and an outdoor kitchen for communal meals.
- Comforts in nature. Five bamboo bathrooms with three hot water showers, plus 20 yoga mats and blocks.
Hosting is a collaborative, heart led process in four steps. You apply to host so the team can learn about you and your vision. If it feels like a fit, you connect on a discovery call to talk through dates and needs. Together you co create the experience, from accommodations and meals to add ons like ceremonies, spa treatments or guided excursions. Then you arrive and lead, held by the beauty of the jungle and a team invested in your retreat.
Come for a personalized private retreat
Nemetona’s exclusive 1:1 retreats are tailored to your needs and desires, a chance to reset, recharge and reconnect with nature in a private, peaceful sanctuary. Guests stay in the glamping dome, with air conditioning, a private bathroom and an outdoor hot shower.
Packages run five days or eight days, and include a 1:1 sound healing session with Tara, healing sessions with Tara with your choice of facial, craniosacral or energy healing, adventures such as a waterfall visit or kayaking, a jungle bonfire, and virtual intuitive guidance sessions with Tara before and after your stay. Meet Tara
Tara Averill is a healer and spiritual guide with a rich background in energy work, sound healing and holistic modalities, including Reiki, facials and breathwork. With a compassionate and joyful presence that balances playfulness with sincerity, she creates a safe space for reflection and growth, and believes in the power of community and collaboration.
The land
A trail bordered by ancient trees leads to Playa Grande, and back on the land you are surrounded by guardian trees, flowers, monkeys, sloths and a symphony of birds, from hummingbirds to toucans. At the center stands the Grandmother Tree, inviting you to pause, breathe and feel gratitude. Nemetona also hosts Gamma Breathe ceremonies, sound healing, meditation groups, somatic workshops, women’s circles and conscious activities for children.
