Some sounds fill a room. Others settle it. The Deep Forest Chime is a dense cluster of natural coconut shells and seed pods that answers each gentle shake with a deep, hollow, wooden sound, like a drumbeat from the heart of the woods.
Shaped like a heavy bough laden with forest fruit, it hangs from a jute wrapped hoop, with dark polished coconut cups and light, textured seed pods gathered close in a tiered, lantern like form. Its voice is far softer and more meditative than metal, a lovely companion for yoga spaces, quiet corners and rustic, nature inspired rooms.
Please note that this is a hand played piece. Hold the handle or support and shake it gently; the wind will not make it sound. These are real fruit shells, so every piece is a little different.
