Nemetona was founded with a mission of fostering healing through diverse offerings, welcoming facilitators and guests alike on a shared journey of expanding awareness and embracing universal love. The land is alive with guardian trees, vibrant flowers, monkeys, sloths and birds, from hummingbirds and toucans to macaws and falcons. At its heart stands the revered Grandmother Tree, inviting you to pause, breathe and feel deep reverence and gratitude.
Meet Tara
Tara Averill is the founder of Nemetona, an intuitive guide and energy and sound healing practitioner. Her offerings include Reiki and Divine Touch energy healing, Gamma Breathwork, sound healing journeys, cacao ceremonies, intuitive guidance and the Dreamweavers Manifestation Workshop. Her approach brings warmth, playfulness and presence, encouraging deeper awareness, authenticity and self love.

Host your retreat at Nemetona
Whether you are an experienced facilitator or dreaming of leading your first retreat, Nemetona offers an intimate setting surrounded by jungle and close to the Caribbean Sea. The Kuan Yin Temple comfortably accommodates about 20 yoga mats for yoga, meditation, ceremony and group practice. Accommodation includes six A frame casitas with shared bamboo bathrooms, the three bedroom Ohana House, and the Gaia Dome, a private, air conditioned dome with its own kitchen and courtyard. Facilitators can connect with Tara to shape their retreat, with meals, wellness sessions and nature experiences arranged according to their group's needs.

Nemetona's personalized private retreats are designed around each guest's intentions, interests and pace, with space for rest, discovery and meaningful connection. Guests can stay in the Gaia Dome and shape their experience with Tara, exploring energy healing, intuitive guidance, Gamma Breathwork, sound healing, manifestation workshops, cacao ceremonies and jungle bonfires. Nature adventures might include waterfalls, kayaking, guided jungle walks and time by the Caribbean Sea, alongside options such as yoga, massage and nourishing private chef meals. Families, friends, couples and small groups can also create their own retreat. Accommodation, meals, sessions and excursions are agreed upon when planning each experience.
