Climb to the second floor of the Washington Mills in Dover, New Hampshire, and you will find a little shop with a big heart. Kilmain Crystals is the home of Erin Kilmain, a crystal and herb lover who has turned a lifelong connection to spirit into a welcoming space for anyone walking their own path.
Meet Erin
Erin’s story starts early. Her mother gave her her first Rider Waite tarot deck when she was seven years old. Like many sensitive kids, she felt the energy of the world around her deeply, and as she grew up she closed that door for a while. After an abrupt awakening several years ago, she opened it again, rediscovered her gifts and went back to studying tarot, energy work and Reiki. Today she describes herself as an intuitive energy healer, writer, eclectic witch and medium, and she is a certified Shinpiden Usui Reiki Ryoho Master and Teacher. She began collecting crystals during that awakening and, in her words, has not been able to stop since.
When she is not working, you will usually find her outside, hiking in the woods with her husky, Dakota. At home, her cat Luna, whom she calls her familiar, loves crystals too.
Inside the shop at the Washington Mills
Kilmain Crystals opened its brick and mortar store in September 2023 at One Washington Street, Suite 2144. The shelves hold crystals and stones, crystal jewelry, pendulums, herbs, candles, smudge supplies, incense, Irish goods and more, from tumbled stones and palm stones to points, towers and crystal wands. Her website lists shop hours as Tuesday through Saturday, 1:00 to 6:00 pm. Not near Dover? There is an online shop and an Etsy shop as well.
Readings and energy sessions
Erin personally provides every tarot reading, energy session and Reiki session for Kilmain Crystals. Timed tarot readings happen in person, on Zoom or by phone, and she also creates written, voice recorded and video readings by spread, from a simple one card pull to a Celtic Cross, love, twin flame and mediumship readings. Her energy work, offered remotely, includes distance Reiki, aura healing, cord cutting and spiritual guidance sessions.
How Kilmain Crystals helps the world
Erin’s way of giving back is personal and generous. Each month Kilmain Crystals offers a free Reiki session for the collective. Anyone can sign up, including pets, family and friends, and the messages from those sessions are shared on her blog. She also publishes free guides there on choosing crystals, moon phases and questions to ask your tarot cards.
She works under the Spiritual Professional Code of Honor, which commits her to confidentiality, respect for each person’s choices and doing no harm. And she believes in community over competition:
“I think it’s important to support your local witches, psychics, mediums, and healers even if you are one yourself! We can always learn from each other!”
