Colibri Alchemy is the sacred work of Kate Vredevoogd, offering cacao ceremony, Reiki, shamanic journeywork and Andean practices from her Sacred Space in the Anahola Marketplace on Kauaʻi, and by Zoom.
Meet Kate
Kate is a published author and linguist, ceremonialist, herbalist and cacao carrier who grew up beneath the conifers of the Pacific rainforest. She was initiated as cacao steward and sahumadora by Mexica elder Veronica Sarmiento, later learned from Maya Quiché Day Keepers in Guatemala, and trained as a mesa carrier in the high Andes of Peru. She is a Reiki Practitioner and Teacher in the Usui lineage and carries the nine rites of the Munay Ki.
“My prayer is that we all learn to experience ourselves more deeply, and in doing so, become more intimate with the sacred within ourselves and within all things.”

Journeys with cacao
Kate describes cacao as an expansive presence oriented to the whispers of the heart. Her journey with cacao began at a ceremony in Spain, and she now holds group ceremonies, couples ceremonies and opening circles for festivals and retreats. Guests are invited to bring a mug, a white candle, a flower or fruit as an offering, and a journal.
