Some of our Light Network friends teach in a studio or guide on a mountain. Gaia brings the conversation into living rooms around the world. A member supported streaming service, Gaia describes itself as “a global conscious community,” and it is one of the partners featured on our Light Network page.
A library for seekers
Gaia offers more than 8,000 titles through its app and connected devices, with original series, documentaries and instructional videos on yoga, meditation, spiritual growth, personal transformation, alternative history and the unexplained. New episodes arrive every week, and its guided yoga and meditation practices are made for every level. Gaia+ members can also join live and on demand events and workshops with teachers from around the world.
Beyond streaming, Gaia Marketplace offers hand curated travel experiences, guided tours to ancient sites, online courses and certification programs. Gaia has also just launched unlimited tarot readings for members who like to begin with a question. One member summed up the appeal on Gaia’s About page:
“A huge library filled to the brim, a wealth of knowledge and wisdom. If you are a seeker of wisdom, you will not be disappointed.”

Mission and members
Gaia’s stated vision is “to empower the evolution of consciousness,” and its mission is “to create a transformational network that empowers a global conscious community.” Members are known as Gaians. Gaia is candid that its approach “will not resonate with everyone,” and we find that honesty refreshing: it knows exactly who it is for.
How Gaia helps the world in its own way
Gaia’s particular gift is reach. A teacher who might speak to a few dozen people in a workshop can, through Gaia, reach seekers in many countries at once, and Gaia’s site is available in English, Spanish, German and French. Because Gaia is completely member supported and always ad free, viewers can settle into a practice or a long documentary without interruption, and Gaia says that independence lets it share perspectives that expand awareness.
We see that reach close to home. Paul of Venus of Mt Shasta Spiritual Tours, another member of our Light Network, shares that his documentary Call of the Mountain is available on Gaia, so someone who has never stood on Mount Shasta can still feel its pull from wherever they are. Gaia also hosts live events at the GaiaSphere Event Center at its headquarters, which it describes as a crystal infused space for a like minded community to connect, learn and grow together.
