Meet Atousa

Atousa was born in Tehran and came to the United States at twelve, by way of Germany, without speaking English. She went on to earn a degree in Electrical Engineering from George Mason University at nineteen, the youngest in her class, and built an engineering career. The whole time, another part of her was reading spiritual books and exploring energy healing. She received her first energy healing certification in 2003 and became a Master Healer in 2004.
When her own health and life reached a breaking point, she picked up colored pencils and charcoal she hadn’t touched in years and returned to Rumi, and art and healing began unfolding together. In 2012 she officially launched her healing practice and her art business.
Beyond the healing loop
Many of the people who find Atousa have already done a lot of work on themselves. They have read the books and understand their patterns, yet they keep circling back to the same place. Her work goes underneath that, gently uncovering the protective identities people build to survive, like the fixer, the people pleaser or the one who always has to be strong, so that clarity, self trust and emotional freedom can return.

Her formal training is as a Master Healer and in shamanism, and over the years she has developed her own way of working. There is no fixed protocol. Depending on the person, a session might be conversation, energy work, body and nervous system work, or simply silence. Many of her clients work with her alongside therapy, and she is clear that she is not interested in making anyone dependent on healing.
“I help people come home to themselves.”
